Art After Hours uncovers hidden treasures

Wednesday 2 April 2014 until 10pm

A night of golden experiences

Seen by over 1.7 million people worldwide, Afghanistan: hidden treasures from the National Museum, Kabul offers a rare opportunity to discover the surprising, untold cultural history of Afghanistan.

With its priceless artefacts, some thousands of years old, this exhibition is a testament to the bravery of the Afghani people. It serves as a valuable reminder of the importance in preserving cultural heritage.

Join us on 2 April 2014 as Art After Hours uncovers hidden treasures and celebrate these people, their stories and the historic threads that connect us all.

With a free drop-in kite-making workshop, contemporary Afghan beats and a pop-up tea bar, this special Art After Hours event will provide a taste of the extraordinarily rich culture of Afghanistan, kicking off a month-long Art After Hours program inspired by the exhibition.

For Art After Hours, the entire Gallery will be open until 10pm with a wide array of entertainment, food and drinks on offer. Don’t forget there is a courtesy bus running every 15 minutes throughout the evening, dropping at various transport hubs in the city.
