Gel plate printing workshop With Andrew Totman

Gel plate printing

Gel plate printing

Join master printmaker Andrew Totman for this two-day gel plate printing workshop.

Gel plate printing is a printmaking method using a soft gelatine plate that allows you to make prints without using a printing press. Prints can be made using a variety of materials, including stencils and objects, and experimenting with mark-making. The possibilities are endless. The resulting prints can be unique artworks or used as a source for collage, paintings or drawing.

Through step-by-step demonstrations and explanations, Totman will guide you through ideas, techniques and processes to create a suite of beautiful and expressive prints.

This workshop is the perfect introduction to printmaking or an opportunity to reconnect with a very immediate process that has limitless possibilities.
