By joining the Gallery’s community of donors, you will be helping us to create a beacon of art and inspiration for generations to come.  

There are many ways to support the expansion and we welcome gifts of any size. All donations are tax deductible. Donors will take the journey with us, with an insider’s view through special communications and events. 

Capital gifts will be acknowledged with: 

  • Naming recognition (for our highest-level, depending on the opportunities available)

  • Inclusion in campaign materials

  • Membership of the Foundation (for Visionary-level gifts and above) 

Acknowledgement on the Campaign Honour Board on display at the entrance to the new building, for gifts of $10,000 and above. 

Gifts to support the revitalisation of our much-loved existing building, gifts for art  acquisitions and to learning and participation programs will be acknowledged on the Foundation Honour Board.

All gifts will be acknowledged with invitations to exclusive events, depending on the level of gift.

  • Ways to give

    • Individual gift - Donations of $2 or more to the Art Gallery of NSW (ABN 24 934 492 575) are tax-deductible for Australian taxpayers. Multi-year pledges are welcomed for the Sydney Modern Project. Donations made through the Charities Aid Foundation of America, Benevity (US) or the Charities Aid Foundation UK provide donors with tax benefits in those countries. 

    • Matching gift - An employer matching gift program can increase the impact of your gift. For assistance in determining if your employer offers this program, please contact the campaign team.

    • Gift to honour or remember - A gift in honour or memory of someone is a wonderful way to pay tribute to a special person. 

    • Gifts of art - We welcome discussions about potential acquisitions.

    • Other ways of giving - Our campaign team will be happy to provide assistance regarding other methods of giving, including; gifts of securities or property, including artworks; gifts from foundations and trusts, endowments and corporate giving.
